Hi!

My name is Charlotte, and I'm a freelance writer of all things dog!

I've been lucky enough to have been immersed in the animal world from a very early age.  I grew up around a whole menagerie of animals and it soon became apparent that dogs were my passion.  

I currently share my life with 3 Border Collies, who are all rescues.  Each of these girls has taught me so much since they entered my life and they still inspire me every day to be not only be a better guardian to them - but a better writer too!

I am passionate about canine welfare and behaviour, and my goal is to share my knowledge and experience with other dog lovers to make sure their dogs are as happy as possible too.  While I have previously practiced as a Canine Behaviourist offering one-to-one consultations and group classes, I now concentrate on writing articles and books to reach, and help, even more dog owners.  

I only practice and recommend positive, force-free training methods, as I wholeheartedly believe there is no reason to use aversive or forceful techniques to teach your dog anything.  Training is as much about building and strengthening the bond you share with your dog, as it is teaching them what you would like to see more of.  

I have written and published my first book, 'Canine Contentment', my second book 'Essential Enrichment', and co-authored a further two more books 'Don't Eat That!' and 'Walking Together' alongside Simone Mueller. I am also part of the writing team for Canine Principles and have had articles published in Edition Dog Magazine.
